Do SodaStream Syrups Need to Be Refrigerated?

Not all SodaStream syrups need to be refrigerated right away — most can be housed in a cool, dry place like a cupboard. Fortunately, the label on the bottle will tell you how each syrup needs to be stored and how long it’ll last after it’s opened.

In almost all cases, Soda Press Organic, Classic and Diet flavours need to be stored in a refrigerator and consumed within two weeks of being opened, but can be popped in a cupboard for a long as a year before they’re opened.

A lot of other factors come into play here though, like where you’re based and the specific flavour so always consult the label on the bottle after opening a syrup to see how to store it. This information is also available on the SodaStream website.

You’ll also need to take into account when the best before date on the label. Like most consumables, SodaStream syrups have an expiration date. If you don’t open them and consume them before this date, it’s recommended you discard of them.

Another thing worth noting is that drinks made with Soda Press Organic flavours (and any other syrups that need to be kept cold) will also need to be stored in the refrigerator after being carbonated to keep them safe for consumption.

All official SodaStream bottles can be refrigerated, so storing them shouldn’t be a problem.
